The Long Arc of South Asian Art. Essays in Honour of Vidya Dehejia (New Delhi: Women Unlimited,2022 & Mumbai: Marg Publications, 2022)
Edited by Annapurna Garimella, one of my first PhD students, and published in 2022, this festschrift contains essays by 21 young scholars who worked with me at Columbia University while pursuing their PhDs. Annapurna’s introductory essay speaks of the course[route] that my career has taken, while the concluding essay contains my own reflections on my path. Each of the 21 essays, usually but not always an offshoot from their dissertations, ends with a little piece devoted to the author’s interactions with me. I am deeply honoured by this tribute from the next generation of scholars.
